Abstract

Suction cup attached onto a load intended for a load-handling system, comprising an elastic conical face 10 which has a central passage 12 allowing air to pass in order to form a connection with a suction source and which has a first annular sealing device 13 on its external periphery, a second annular sealing device 16 located inside the first device 13, and a central part 17 which supports a load surrounding the abovementioned passage 12, and characterised in that a certain number of reinforcing ridges 14 extending radially are provided on the outside of the primary sealing device 13, and in that the abovementioned central part 17 has a certain number of annular concentric grooves 19 as well as a number of radial outlet notches 18 which extend from the abovementioned passage 12 across the grooves 19.
