Abstract
An air flow control device for cooling towers for fluid/air contact consists of a multicell open structure with polygonal air inlet openings. The cells are arranged horizontally and lie at right angles to the air inlet opening in which the structure is situated. This system can be applied to natural draught as well as to forced draught installations. This makes the air inlet independent of the speed and direction of wind.
