Abstract
The power control for a UV lamp has a triac or other controlled switch connected to the primary input terminals of a transformer. This is controlled by a variable oscillator control via a current generator comprising a thyristor. The thyristor trigger is controlled by the oscillator and a diode beidge connected between the input terminals. The thyristor is connected in a loop circuit which links one of the input terminals to the other across the transformer primary and the diode bridge. The trial trigger is connected to this loop.
