Abstract

An airtight laminated seal for closing foodstuffs and pharamacutical prods. comprises, in order, a sheet of bleached kraft paper as support, a polyethylene film, an Al foil and a polyvinylidene chloride film. The sheet of paper weighs 100-150 g/m2, the polyethylene film 1020g/m2 and the PVDC film 15-30g/m2. The Al foil is 5-15 mu thick. The seal is used inside closure caps and extends the storage life of the enclosed prods considerably.
