Abstract

La présente invention concerne d'une manière générale des contacts électriques, et plus particulièrement un contact électrique en une pièce, réalisé à partir d'une pièce unique en forme de feuille de métal. Les contacts de l'art antérieur à contacts standards ne sont pas en mesure de supporter des conditions d'environnement très dures tout en conservant leur durée de vie. Dans les connecteurs dont les conditions d'environnement ont été prises en considération, les contacts et les bouchons dans lesquels ils sont insérés risquent d'être endommagés au cours de leur installation, ce qui diminue la qualité du scellement obtenu. Ceci est particulièrement gênant dans les contacts femelle présentant de petits doigts élastiques ou dents emboutis dans le corps du contact femelle. La présente invention se propose de pallier à ces inconvénients en réalisant un contact perfectionné qui est constitué intégralement à partir d'une pièce dans une feuille de métal et comporte un élément de contact actif, une borne de connexion et une coquille. La coquille recouvre au moins l'élément de contact actif pour protéger les dents destinées à faire la connexion avec un contact mâle correspondant, contre le bri ou une déformation accidentelle.
