Abstract
The temperature control system for a large climatic test chamber has a heat exchanger (B) mounted at the exist of the duct through which air is blown into the chamber. When cooling is required the heat exchanger functions as the evaporator of a conventional refrigeration system using Freon 12 (RTM) (RTM) as the refrigerant. When a high temperature is required the valve (F) is closed and the valve (D) is opened. The pump (P) then circulates the refrigerant through the electric heater (R) before it passes through the heat exchanger (B) and heats the air (V).
