Abstract

L'invention concerne un appareil et un procédé de combustion pour l'élimination des particules de carbone d'un effluent gazeux provenant d'un four de calcination du carbone Par un conduit chemisé de réfractaire, et dans lequel on peut injecter de l'air sous pression et éventuellement d'une pulvérisation d'eau, l'effluent du four pénètre tangentiellement au bas d'un premier récipient cylindrique vertical, qu'il parcourt en un mouvement ascendant tournoyant; l'effluent passe ensuite, tangentiellement, dans le second récipient qu'il parcourt en un mouvement tournoyant descendant; puis, du bas du deuxième récipient, les gaz passent dans la cheminée. L'air et l'eau injectés font brûler les fines particules de C; les plus grosses particules sont rejetées vers la paroi du premier récipient et se rassemblent au bas de celui-ci. Application : épuration des gaz provenant de fours de calcination de C et éventuellement) récupération de leur chaleur sensible.
