Abstract

The climber's harness uses two crossed straps in the shape of a figure eight and may be used in conjunction with a safety belt, providing rings at strap intersections on the back and each hip of the wearer. A safety strap with left or right hand fittings may be fixed to each hip-ring and a leather strap may be included to provide support for the small of the back. Two leather sleeves may be mounted slidably on the strap, the first serving to protect the strap from friction damage etc., and the second being used to mount tools.

Description

 Our fitter's belt is, in part, in the form of a harness.

 The mounting principle of the harness consists of two crossed eight in the back which meet at an attachment point with loop (12).

 The upper part of the harness is made of two loops in the form of loops for the passage of the legs. Two straps come to wrap the cross of the hips (3). The kidneys are held in place by a corset (4) which can be made of leather or other material. The width of this corset can vary, at the request of interested. The loop (5) gives more assurance to the maintenance of the straps on the shoulders. Point 11 only intervenes for a safety stowage.

 A lanyard (6) fixed to the hips by two safety carabiners allows the individual to be maintained at his working point in height (pylon, post or other). It can be reversed depending on whether the individual is right-handed to left-handed so that the latter can easily adjust the length of the latter. The carry ring (15) only plays a stop rible to prevent the lanyard from coming out of the adjustment loop (loop not mentioned on the plan in your possession).

 The leather sheath (14) is only a protection of the lanyard and the leather sheath (13) allows the individual to store his tools.

 The advantage of this belt principle is that the individual, once suspended by the lanyard and that his feet are placed, can provide efforts of all kinds during his work in a sitting position (not negligible, if not comfortable) with the kidneys held in place by a corset. This light belt, of public interest, is made of 1800 kg nylon straps for traction.

Claims (1)

1st claim:  the first element is a harness made only of two crossed eight-shaped straps with a dorsal cross and a cross on each hip on which are fixed a dice (rings). 2nd claim:  it consisted in assembling a compound (or mixture)  harness and belt; 3rd claim:  a lanyard is attached to the (rings) on each hip oe which gives the possibility of interchangeability for right and left handed; 4 is a claim:  we brought to this t "set" a leather corset which can be designed in different widths depending on the case and in different material for the maintenance of the kidneys, 5th claim:  an ittile leather sheath in which the lanyard for our "set" is slid ensures cellci protection in the event of friction; 6th claim:  a mobile tool holder leather sheath has a slot to hold the tools.
