Abstract

The circular table and seat consists of folding sections with a slide arm and stop piece. One out of two of the sections is connected by an arm (5) to the central axle (8). A chain (4) goes round the sections and folds up the free sections while the second sections fold up on top of them. The bottom of each section has a lengthwise, conical groove enabling it to be held in the central part. The circular piece has an inner circular notch, and equidistant holes around its circumference into which the ends of spindles (2) fit.

Description

 Circular table and seats made up of foldable elements.

 The present invention relates to furniture whether outdoor or indoor and in particular furniture requiring a support in the form of a tray such as tables and seats, given that their construction allows them to be folded up to obtain a reduced bulk.

 At present there are on the market and in particular for outdoor furniture tables and seats with folding elements, but their folding steffectue on only one of their size which reduces only a part of their size. The retraction system by superposition exists but it also keeps them a certain volume, which cannot in any case be reduced.

The present invention overcomes this dying drawback by a device comprising vertically foldable elements, which ensures minimum enconibrementin the closed position.

 This device comprises mobile elements of trapezoidal shape whose outer end is curved or straight.

They are held at the central axis by sliding arms by means of a part on the said axis, in order to operate the translational movements to allow these elements to be placed either in a horizontal position to form a plate , or in the folded position along the axis.

Given that these mobile elements are connected to the axis by means of an arm only in the proportion of one in two, which allows the fold over the superposition of the first link of the non-connected elements, then of the second elements , it being understood that a catnette fixed on these surrounds the assembly ensuring the maintenance of said elements and their equidistant distances.

Locking devices are located on the one hand under a central circular piece to keep the elements in a horizontal position and on the other hand at the bottom of the arms, which slide along the axis to ensure the maintenance is in the low position c ' that is to say, the folded position, ie in the high position, that is to say the position of use.

 This comprises a central axis (8) held by a tripod-shaped seat on which slides by means of arms, using the same principle applied to umbrellas, a part which will ensure the maintenance and blocking of elements having the shape of fins.

These fins (I) come in the folded position pl-acer on the fins (2) which are free and simply maintained by the chain falling by gravity.

The dotted line indicates the position of the fins when the assembly forms a horizontal plate. The central part (9) is fixed on the central axis (8) the fins (2) are thus arranged along the leg of the table, until their edges touch forming a first layer, the fins ( I) coming from above to form a second layer. The diameter of the plate projected on the horizontal plane is thus reduced by about half.

 The fixed central part (9) is integral with the central axis (8). On this axis comes a circular sliding part (6) on which the arms (5) which are connected to the fins (I) are fixed. The fins (2) remaining free and only retained by the catnette (4) which surrounds the assembly in its circumference.

The locking devices ensure the two positions of the fins. The fins are adapted to the central part by entering a notch (3) in a notch (3), a retainer (7) connected to the sliding part (6) allows a blockage to be obtained either in the low position, as shown in the drawing. , or in the high position in (10).

Figure 3 shows the circular central part of the tray.

This comprises on the upper part an internal circular notch (3) into which are inserted. the ends of the fins. The fins have on their lower part a longitudinal conical rib (II) which extends in the form of a lug (I2) to be inserted in said notch (3).

Movable, these pins allow the translational movements, while being held in (13) by a keying. The longitudinal ribs ensure the rigidity of the assembly while retaining its 16 b ret. Openings (14) are placed at equal distance along the circumference of this central part and allow the fins according to a predetermined number to be thus maintained.

A cover of identical size is provided to give a finish to this part, and to serve as a stop when the fins are in the horizontal position.

 Figure 4 shows a view of the device in a horizontal position.

 The fins (I) being held together by the arms (5), this figure shows the rigidity of the assembly. This effect being produced by the chain (4) which is fixed on each of the fins, whether the latter is free (2) or connected (I) to the arm. It is fixed in the center (15) of each edge of each of the fins and only there.

Figure 5 shows a view of the device being folded.

During retraction, it is the freedom of the links which allows, as and when the movement of descent of the assembly, the first folding of the free fins (2) on which the fins will be superimposed in a second step ( I). This folding device therefore makes it possible to obtain, with a speed of execution, a space that is reduced as much as possible. Its application extends to garden, indoor, bar, hotel, camping, beach, and all areas where space is needed, especially for storage, since even in the folded position the assembly remains aesthetic since it retains the circular central part.

With a simple mechanism, this device has a low coat and can be produced in various materials such as metal, plastic.

The fins while retaining a trapezoidal shape can have either straight, curved or rounded edges, to obtain decorative effects such as: flower, geometric figure.
