Abstract
The heating and refrigeration system circulates a refrigerating medium in succession through a compressor, a condenser, an expander and an evaporator, the medium being exposed in the latter to a heat source. The heat source is caused to act on the medium after it leaves the condenser and before it reaches the expander. This gives simultaneous extra refrigeration of the condensed medium and heating of the heat source. For this purpose there can be a heat exchanger between the medium at the evaporator outlet and at the condenser outlet, that between the medium and the heat source being upstream of this exchanger.
