Abstract

A bleaching detergent compsn. comprising a surfactant, an inorganic persalt, a bleaching activator and optionally other additives contains 5-50% (pref. 7-35%) of surfactant; 1-15% (pref. 5-10%) of an N,N,N',N'-tetraacetyl-(1-6C) alkylenediamino; 1-20% (pref. 7-15% of sodium perborate monohydrate approx. NaBO2 H2O2. The tetraacetylalkylenediamino is in the form of granules approx. 0.1-3 mm X 0.1 X 15 mm comprising:- 60-90% (pref. 70-90%) of the tetraacetylalkylene diamine, 0.15% (pref. 2-15%) of persalt stabiliser which is ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid, phosphoric acids or mixtures of these and 10-30% of a nonionic surfactant of m.p at least 35 degrees C. The compsns. are used in washing powders particularly for low temperature bleaching with compsns. contg. enzymes. The use of the tetraacetyl alkylenediamine bleaching activator comprises the storage stability of the compsn. compared with present compsns.
