Abstract

The book or file is protected by a cover which may be fixed in place or removable. It comprises a rigid backing (1), made from cardboard or plastic, covered with a transparent plastic material (2). This transparent plastic is printed on the reverse side, the wording being laid down as a reverse image (3a,3b) and read from the front (4a,4b) through the thickness of the plastic. The two materials are bonded together using a suitable adhesive, and is preferred , the backing can be in the form of two separate front and back panels sandwiched between front and rear plastic covers joined along the edges.
