Abstract
Castor and inclination angles of front wheels of a vehicle are measured by taking measurement w.r.t. a reference using various accessories such as a spirit level. These measurements are reduced to a single measurement read on a galvanometer or from a recording. A box (1) is attached against the face of a wheel (R) by means of a drum on an axis (4) and three claws (3). The box contains a rotating stirrup which carries an electrical potentiometer with a cursor attached to a pendulum. The pendulum axis can be set by a moulded knob (13) to one of two positions with index marks (14,15) to measure inclination or castor angles as the wheel rotates. The potentiometer is electrically connected to a display panel.
