Abstract

The pot (1) is moulded from thin plastic and has a square cross section. Its sides taper downwards and the bottom is flat. Two of the corners (4, 5) on opposite sides, have lines of weakness, these comprising narrow perforations (11, 12). The lines continue down to the base of the pot and come together as a line f weakness across the bottom. Apertures forming drainage holes are also provided. When transplanting, the pot may be split into halves (7, 8) by tearing down the sides and across the bottom. The root ball is not disturbed or damaged. Pull tabs can be provided at each corner.
