Abstract

The plastic basket is for the transport of fruit, vegetables etc., hacing on each side of a flat base, side panels attached to it by moulded hinge. At one end is an opening accommodating protruding tongues parallel to the hinge axes, while at the other is a locking lug with slots in it. These slots fit in the recess in the adjacent panel so that the tongues engage in the slots when the panels are erected perpendicular to the base. Each hinge can comprise two inclined portions, one fixed to the base and the other to the panel, and hinging between them.
