Abstract

Selon l'invention, on prépare des alkylidène secondaire-5 hydantoïnes dont le radical alkylidène est le radical isopropylidene ou sec-butylidène et le fragment hydantoïne avec un aldéhyde correspondant en présence, comme catalyseur, d'ammoniac ou d'une amine ayant un pKb compris entre 3 et 5. Les hydantoines ainsi obtenues sont utiles pour préparer les acides alpha -cétocarboxyliques utiles entre autres pour synthétiser les amino-acides.According to the invention, secondary alkylidene-5 hydantoins are prepared in which the alkylidene radical is the isopropylidene or sec-butylidene radical and the hydantoin moiety with a corresponding aldehyde in the presence, as catalyst, of ammonia or of an amine having a pKb between 3 and 5. The hydantoins thus obtained are useful for preparing alpha-ketocarboxylic acids useful inter alia for synthesizing amino acids.
