Abstract

A circuit arrangement for suppression of the noise component in a noisy signal is based on a non-linear transfer device having a null zone in its transfer characteristic. The noisy input signal (Ue) is fed to a differential circuit (1) which is connected to the non-linear transfer device (2) and also to an adding circuit (3). The transfer device also feeds the adding circuit which is, in turn, connected to an integrator (4) which supplies the output signal (Ua). A feedback path exists between the integrator output and the differencing circuit (1). Both the null zone of the transfer device and the integrating time of the integrator are variable. A high pass filter (5) and a peak value detector (6) may be connected between the input and the non-linear transfer device to control the null region.
