Abstract
Ce joint est destiné à fonctionner sous grand angle (de 42 à 46** degrés environ selon les variantes de réalisation) et offre une capacité accrue par rapport aux solutions classiques. A cet effet, chaque chemin de roulement 21 est formé d'une paire de gorges à section circulaire, dont la ligne moyenne est un arc de cercle centré de préférence au voisinage de l'axe du deuxième arbre, la pièce en forme de tripode étant solidaire d'un tronçon d'arbre 1 qui présente dans une zone 13 proche du tripode une section transversale à peu près triangulaire constituant approximativement l'enveloppe du bord libre 27 de la pièce 20 délimitant les chemins de roulement, lorsque le joint fonctionne sous un angle proche de son angle maximal.
