Abstract

The goods transport tricycle is battery driven, the batteries being accommodated in a wheeled housing. The fixing lugs (107, 117) for the housing to the tricycle (21) also form the electrical contacts between them and the tricycle electrical circuit, and a connection is mounted on the housing to allow recharging of the batteries from the mains. There may be a switch for isolating the lugs when the housing is not properly fixed to the tricycle, the switch being equipped with a tappet and a spring against which the pivoting catch securing the housing acts. The spindle of the catch can have rollers to aid fitting and removal of the housing.
