Abstract

The suction head for a lawn mower has a housing which is partly cylindrical in its front region and is open at the bottom and the front. A beater roller which runs horizontally transverse to the direction of travel, is supported in the housing and rotates opposite to the direction of travel. A flat deflector plate (6) is fitted to the open back part of the housing. The plane of the plate (6) is inclined backwards at an acute angle of 15 deg. to the vertical. The take-off orifice (10) is arranged vertically between the top housing peak (7) and the deflector plate top edge. The opening cross-section runs tangentially to the top housing peak.
