Abstract

A disposable sachet for making coffee, or similar drinks, by infusion. No grounds are released into the liquid and the exact required quantity can be measured out. The ground coffee is placed in a sachet (1) made from a porous paper, or gause. After folding over the top, a flat keeper plate (5) with retining slots is placed over the fold. To seal the sachet, a flexible plastic ring (10), having location beads (19, 20) spaced at intervals, is locked into the slots. After infusion, the ring and plate are removed and kept for further use and the sachet can then be thrown away.
