Abstract

A decorative or protective element for cars is made of synthetic material and has two parts joined by a flexible zone forming a hinge. One part is fixed to the item to be decorated and the other part covers the first part. The element is typically fixed to a car body by a number of plastic rivets. The hinge is formed at the upper edges of the parts and the second cover part is held over the fixed part by the lower end of the cover part clipping over the lower end of the fixed part.
