Abstract

A hydraulic device for maintaining a platform parallel to a determined plane, has at least two hydraulic jacks (2, 3) with sliding pistons (4, 5). The jacks (2, 3) being interposed between the moving platform (1) and a support element. The jacks are also inclined, with respect to the plane, by the same angle, for preference an angle of 90 deg. Each of the jacks is fed with incompressible liquid on at least one of the faces of the piston, the liquid occupying in each jack at least a chamber (6, 7) such that a displacement of the moving element parallel to the plane produces in the chambers corresponding identical variations in volume. Each of the chambers are connected to a hydraulic transmission device (8, 9, 10) which transmits to each jack the variation of volume exactly corresponding to the volume variation of the other jacks. The sum of the volumes remains constant.
