Abstract
An appts. for feeding a milk sample into a sampling vessel during the transfer of the milk from a first container into a second vacuum container comprises an auxiliary discharge line in parallel to the main transfer line; this auxiliary line leads to the sampling vessel which in turn is connected by a vacuum line to a vacuum source. The second discharge line also leads to the second vacuum container and has a branch leading to the sampling vessel; the vacuum line leading from the sampling vessel has its open end closely connected to the open end of the auxiliary discharge line, so that both together are connected to the sampling vessel in a sealed manner only when a sample is to be taken. Pref., the vacuum line leading from the sampling vessel leads also to the second, vacuum vessel. The sampling vessel itself pref. has a lid which is self-sealing after it has been perforated; pref. materials are silicone rubber, soft PVC or soft polyethylene, the two openings of the connections being sharp-ended so as to pierce this lid.
