Abstract

A process for incorporating an oily preservative into a medium contg. sodium chloride or other alkali metal chloride comprises introducing the medium as a homogeneous suspension of the alkali metal chloride into the prod. in the oily phase. The process is used for e.g. preserving sardines. The sodium chloride or alkali metal chloride has a particle size 800 mu, pref. 40 mu.
