Abstract

The needle cover is hollow and is of frustoconical shape, and the narrow end is sealed and is provided with an outer screw thread for securing the cover to the syringe plunger to act as a push rod, while the larger end is flared so that it fits over the end of the syringe cylinder with the needle extending into the bore of the cover. A loose rubber tube is retained in the small diameter and of the cover by pref. an inner annular rib and is pref. centered by an inner projection on the closed end, and the needle tip extends into the tube and is prevented from contacting the inner wall of the lever. Damage to the needle and lever is prevented.
