Abstract

Steriliser for liqs. takes the form of a length of pipe which fits directly into the liq. supply line and contains two spaced electrodes extending into the liq. The electrodes are wired to an a.c. mains supply or to a d.c. supply via a high frequency contact breaker. The steriliser is cheap, easily installed, and will kill most bacteria, e.g. stretococci, staphylococci, bacilli of botulism, tetanus, dysentery etc. The device is partic. suitable for treating the drinking water supplied to farm stock, reducing sickness so that milk and meat yield is improved.
