Abstract

Two stuffer box are arranged in series and are each arranged to be fed with yarn by a pair of feed rollers, one roller in each pair being driven, and corresponding rollers in each pair being carried on opposite ends of a common shaft. The parallel shafts are relatively displaceable towards and away from each other and the shaft carrying the driven rollers is driven via a gear carried at its central region. Uneven feeding of the yarn caused by non-parallel shafts is overcome.
