Abstract

Backwashable filter apparatus, for filtering a high-viscosity liquid, having a housing (1), which is provided with an inlet orifice (2) for the liquid to be filtered, a filter (3) and an outlet orifice (4) for filtrate, characterised in that - the filter (3) lies with its side facing the liquid to be filtered against a separation body (5) having recesses ("reject spaces") (6), - the separation body (5) is provided with feed channels (7) for the liquid to be filtered, the feed channels opening out into the recesses (6), - the separation body (5) is provided with an outlet device (8, 8', 8''), spatially separated from the feed channels (7), for the backwashed liquid, - the housing has an outlet (9) for the backwashed liquid and in that - the inlet orifice (2) and the outlet (9) are made closable. The filter apparatus according to the invention does not have any moving internal parts and is completely backwashable (Figure 2). <IMAGE>
