Abstract

The invention relates to a container (1) of single-layer construction and made of a film of foamed plastic. For the purpose of better mechanical stability and better stacking and unstacking capability, the container has a padded edge (3) which is recessed in the manner of a gripping trough at least on one side, preferably on two opposite sides. Furthermore, the invention relates to an absorbent means (5, 6, 7, 8) for containers, which comprises a highly moisture-absorbent polymer (8). The packaging trays according to the invention are recyclable without problems with and without the absorbent means according to the invention. <IMAGE>
