Abstract

The invention concerns a method for depositing an additive in a web-forming unit in a cardboard machine. A fresh pulp stream 11 is divided into at least two partial pulp streams 121 and 122, in which in at least one partial stream 121 from which a surface is formed that faces the surface of the layer that is to be joined, the additive is added at a site 141 in front of pump 22, at a site 142 and/or at a site 143 after a machine screen to increase the content of fines in the layer and the binding strength between surfaces, whereupon the partial streams 121 and 122 are fed to a multilayer inlet box 44 and then to a gap former. <IMAGE>
