Abstract

The chair includes a backrest support (8) articulated to a fixed structure (2) about a first transverse axis (9) level with the seat (4). A stop limits rotation of the backrest support relative to the structure, to define forwardly and backwardly rotated end positions corresponding to upright and reclined backrest positions. - Springs tend to urge the backrest support into its forwardly rotated end position. A seat support (10) is articulated about a second transverse axis (11) parallel to and forward of the first axis. The seat support is connected to the backrest support in correspondence with the rear edge of the seat.
