Abstract

An improved injection molding procedure for plastic parts of three different colors, the most important characteristics of this process being the following: use of two elements of the molding matrix, one of which is fed by one of the injection cylinders and the other by the remaining two cylinders, both elements located on the vertical fixed plate of a three-cylinder press; adoption of a rotary table on the movable plate of the press, on which a mold male is mounted, which can be placed in two different working positions, in one of which acts with the first die mounted on the fixed plate and in the another with the second matrix; carrying out a first molding operation when the core is inserted into one of the dies to obtain at least one of the colored parts of the piece; separation between each other of male and matrix, being in the male the obtained piece; 180º rotation of the rotating table that supports the males, for the use of the second of these with the second die, of the fixed plate; carrying out a second molding operation with the insertion of the male in the second die, to obtain the remaining parts of the piece and, finally, expulsion of the finished piece.
