Abstract
Un método para la recuperación de al menos un metal de un mineral o residuo de baja calidad, en el que el método incluye los siguientes pasos: a) Lixiviación con cianuro del mineral o residuo de baja calidad, a un pH alcalino, para producir una solución de lixiviación libre de impurezas que contiene al menos un cianuro metálico; b) mejorar la solución de lixiviación libre de impurezas mediante la eliminación de sólidos lixiviados o pobres de la solución de lixiviación libre de impurezas; c) someter la solución mejorada de lixiviación libre de impurezas a ultrafiltración para producir un licor clarificado; d) someter el licor clarificado a nano-filtración para producir un concentrado de cianuro metálico y un permeado; e) someter el concentrado de cianuro metálico a acidificación y luego a sulfuración para producir una solución que contiene un sulfuro de metal y cianuro de hidrógeno; f) someter la solución formada en la etapa e) a una etapa de separación sólido/líquido, para recuperar de este modo al menos algo del sulfuro metálico y al menos algo del cianuro de hidrógeno; y h) reciclar el cianuro de hidrógeno recuperado para la lixiviación del cianuro (paso a)).
