Abstract
The device comprises an electronic central unit (1) supplied by the battery (2) of the vehicle and assisted by a plurality of sensors (3) of any conventional type capable of detecting the level of proximity of any other vehicle with respect to said sensors, so that the electronic central unit (1) receives permanently information from said sensors (3), and when the proximity of a vehicle exceeds a preset value, said central unit (1) generates a signal which activates an optical and/or acoustic warning device (4) appropriately mounted inside the vehicle in order to warn the occupants of said vehicle of the imminence of an impact, with the aim that said occupants, in a sort of reflex action, tense their muscles in order to absorb substantially all the effects of said impact.
