Abstract

A system for dehydrating fodder and forest products comprises a loading hoper (5) which opens out in transport mechanisms (4) such as a conveyor belt. The transport means bring the product through the cutting stage by laser beam or pressure water jet (2), through the partial or total drying or dehydration channel (1) which is comprised of a series of conduits made of an appropriate material for impeding the propagation of electromagnetic waves, through the cooling stage (6) followed by further transportation (6) to take the product to the final conditioning points. The system is further comprised of regulation, adjustment and control means for adjusting the dehydration degree, through the regulatipn of the radiation intensity and the relative displacement of the product to be dehydrated. The system is intended to dehydrate lucern, fodder and other agricultural products for human and animal feed, as well as other forest products such as wood and its derivatives.
