Abstract

The package consists of a web of paper and a plastic film which are both sealed together at the edge. The sealing consists of narrow, elongated sealing elements which have a limited length. The narrow elongated sealing elements can have various dimensions and be arranged in parallel or at angles relative to one another. Smaller sealing elements may be provided next to the narrow elongated sealing elements. Creasing of the plastic film is avoided and tightness increased by the spacings between the sealing elements, particularly in the case of articles with complex shapes being packaged.
