UNA BARRA METACARPIANA LA LLEVA EL PRIMER ELEMENTO Y PUEDE DESPLAZARSE POR EL. LA BARRA METACARPIANA PUEDE UNIRSE A UN HUESO DE UN PACIENTE, SOBRE UN LADO DE UNA FRACTURA DEL HUESO. EL SEGUNDO ELEMENTO ESTA INSTALADO A PIVOTE SOBE UN EXTREMO DEL PRIMER ELEMENTO, PARA QUE PUEDA MOVERSE ALREDEDOR DE UN EJE, QUE FORMA UN ANGULO AGUDO CON RESPECTO AL EJE LONGITUDINAL DEL PRIMER ELEMENTO. EL TERCER ELEMENTO ESTA INSTALADO A PIVOTE SOBRE EL SEGUNDO ELEMENTO, PARA QUE PUEDA MOVERSE ALREDEDOR DE UN EJE, QUE ES PERPENDICULAR AL EJE LONGITUDINAL DEL SEGUNDO ELEMENTO.
