L'étiquette et l'emballage sont fusionnés pendant le processus de moulage par injection ou par thermoformage ou par soufflage. L'étiquette, préalablement imprimée, est placée dans le moule juste avant l'injection (ou thermoformage ou soufflage), ce qui permet de l'incorporer dans le matériau d'emballage. Ce procédé d'étiquetage dans le moule offre de nombreux avantages. Il n'est pas décrit en détails, car parfaitement connu pour un homme du métier. L'étiquette est généralement réalisée à partir d'un film en polypropylène, et est, comme indiqué, noyée dans l'emballage par fusion partielle de sa face interne notamment, avec pour objectif, d'assurer la décoration de la totalité ou d'une partie de l'emballage.
