An der oberen Schmalseite 5a ragen aus den Kunststoffhüllen 14 Zellpole 18, welche über U- und Y-förmige Zellverbinder 19, 20 miteinander verbunden sind. Gegebenenfalls können somit in einem Arbeitsschritt gleichzeitig mit den Zellverbindern 19, 20 auch Zellspannungsüberwachungskabel 22 an den Zellpolen 18 in einem Durchsetzfügeverfahren angebunden werden. Da die Position der Clinchpunkte 21a der Durchsetzfügeverbindung 21 mehr streuen darf, als zum Beispiel bei einer Laserschweißverbindung, ergibt sich ein relativ hohes Toleranzkompensationsvermögen.
