Definitions

  • the present invention relates to an automatic winding mechanism for a watch movement.
  • the winding of the mainspring or mainspring is effected by means of a mass which oscillates under the effect of the movements of the wearer of the watch.
  • the force generated by the oscillations of the mass is communicated to the winding ratchet of the mainspring by a gear reducer.
  • Some automatic winding mechanisms comprise, between the oscillating weight and the gear train, a device called “inverter” allowing the gear train to rotate in the direction causing the winding of the mainspring irrespective of the direction of rotation. of the oscillating mass.
  • inverter A particularly advantageous type of this inverter device, in terms of simplicity, efficiency and bulk, is known as the "Pellaton system" and described in US Pat.
  • the Pellaton system comprises a cam secured to the oscillating mass, a rocker cooperating with the cam via two rollers, and two pawls mounted on the rocker.
  • the respective beaks of the pawls are held in contact, by a spring acting between the pawls, with the toothing of a wolf-tooth wheel connected to the winding ratchet by means of the gear wheel.
  • these two pawls alternately advance the wolf wheel. Variations of this mechanism have been described in the patent US 3,846,973 and in patent applications JP 2003130967 and JP 2003279666 .
  • a disadvantage of the Pellaton system and its variants is that they do not support manual winding by the winding stem movement.
  • the winding stem is actuated for manual winding of the movement, the wolf wheel is driven, forcing the double ratchet to unclip.
  • the large number of teeth and the high speed of rotation of the wolf wheel, and the fineness of the beaks of the double ratchet there is a risk of using or even damaging the wolf-tooth wheel. or the pawls.
  • a ratchet consisting of a crown comprising an internal toothing and an external toothing meshes with its internal teeth with the satellites and by its external toothing with a ratchet and with a manual winding gear.
  • the ratchet prevents the ratchet from rotating and thus allows the satellites to rotate freely to drive the planet plate and the barrel shaft.
  • the automatic winding mechanism prevents the shaft of the worm wheel, and therefore the sun gear, from rotating and the ratchet drives the satellites which themselves drive the planet plate and the barrel shaft .
  • This mechanism has the disadvantage of being bulky, especially in height, which makes its use unsuitable for small movements or flat movements. It also includes many pieces, whose layout is difficult enough to master. Finally, its performance seems to be affected by the large number of surfaces in friction of its differential and is in any case closely dependent on the quality of machining and the precision of alignment of the various elements.
  • the patent CH 691748 describes a bidirectional automatic winding mechanism with Pellaton system comprising a disengaging device in the form of an intermediate wheel located between the wolf wheel and the barrel ratchet, this intermediate wheel being movable in translation so as to move away from the barrel ratchet during manual winding.
  • the present invention aims to remedy, in part at least, the disadvantages of the mechanisms of the state of the art set out above and proposes for this purpose a bidirectional automatic winding mechanism for a watch movement comprising an oscillating mass, a mobile with a worm wheel to drive a ratchet of movement, two pawls cooperating with the toothing of the wolf-tooth wheel to alternately advance said mobile under the effect of oscillations of the oscillating mass and a disengaging device for decouple the wolf-tooth wheel from the winding ratchet during manual winding of the movement, characterized in that the disengaging device is integrated with the wolf-toothed wheel.
  • said mobile comprises a pinion for driving the winding ratchet and the disengaging device is arranged to decouple the wolf wheel from the pinion during manual winding of the movement.
  • the disengaging mechanism may include a wolf-tipped star and at least one ratchet mounted on the wolf-tooth wheel and cooperating with the wolf-toothed star.
  • the disengaging device is located in a cavity defined by the wolf wheel, which cavity can be closed by an annular plate attached to the wall of the cavity.
  • At least a portion of the disengaging device is at the same height as the teeth of the wolf wheel.
  • said two pawls cooperating with the toothing of the wolf-tooth wheel are part of the same piece mounted around an eccentric whose rotations are controlled by the oscillating mass.
  • At least one flange can be attached to the wolf wheel, coaxially with it, to limit the vertical pawl ratchets.
  • the present invention also proposes a clockwork movement comprising a bidirectional automatic winding mechanism as defined above.
  • mobile a set of elements such as wheel or pinion mounted around the same axis.
  • a bidirectional automatic winding mechanism for a clockwork movement mounted in a frame 1 consisting for example of bridges (visible on the figure 3 ), comprises an oscillating mass 2 (shown partially and in dotted lines at the figure 1 ) and a wheel 3 mounted on the axis of rotation 4 of the oscillating mass 2, integral with the latter.
  • the wheel 3 meshes with another wheel 5 fixed on an axis 6 defined by an eccentric 7.
  • the eccentric 7 is in the form of a cylinder whose two opposite projections eccentric to the cylinder define the axis 6.
  • the eccentric 7 serves as a pivot to a drive and retaining piece 8.
  • the piece of drive and retainer 8 comprises a rigid connecting portion 9 mounted free to rotate around the eccentric 7 and separated from the latter by a stone 10.
  • the driving and retaining piece 8 also comprises two elastically deformable arms 11a, 11b extending from the connecting portion 9 and terminated by pawls 12a, 12b.
  • the beaks 13a, 13b of the pawls 12a, 12b are engaged in the toothing of a wolf wheel 14, and are held in contact against this toothing by the elasticity of the arms 11a, 11b.
  • the wolf wheel 14 is part of a "disengageable" mobile 15 mounted around an axis 16 and further comprising a pinion 17 and a wolf-toothed star 18.
  • the wolf-tooth wheel 14 is integral with the pin 16.
  • Ratchets 19 in the form of anchors, known per se, by One or two examples (as shown) or three are pivotally mounted on the wolf-tooth wheel 14.
  • the two spouts 20a, 20b of each pawl 19 cooperate with the wolf-toothed star 18.
  • the star with wolf teeth 18 and pawls 19 are located in a cavity 20 defined by one of the two faces of the wolf wheel 14, this cavity 20 being closed by an annular plate 21 fixed to the wall of the cavity 20 and through the central hole of which passes the pinion 17.
  • only one of the two flanges 22, 23 may be provided.
  • no flange 22, 23 is used but the toothing of the worm wheel 14 is high enough that the pawls 12a, 12b remain in said toothing in case of vertical rust of said pawls.
  • the pinion 17 of the mobile 15 meshes with the wheel of an intermediate mobile 24 whose pinion (not visible in the drawings), integral with said wheel, meshes with the ratchet 25 of a barrel 26 containing the motor spring movement.
  • the ratchet 25 also meshes, via an intermediate wheel 27, with the crown wheel 28 of a manual winding movement mechanism, this crown wheel 28 meshing in a conventional manner with a winding pinion 29 mounted on a winding stem 30 .
  • the mechanism according to this embodiment of the invention operates as follows.
  • the oscillations of the oscillating mass 2 are transmitted by the wheel 3 to the wheel 5, and by the wheel 5 to the eccentric 7.
  • the rotations of the eccentric 7 cause the movements to vary. and-comes to the driving and retaining piece 8.
  • the piece 8 advances in the direction of the mobile 15, the pawl 12a in contact with the steep flank of a tooth of the wolf teeth wheel 14 pushes the wheel to wolf teeth 14 while the other pawl 12b unclips by sliding on the inclined flanks of the teeth of the wheel 14 without rolling back the wheel 14 through the action of the pawl 12a.
  • the wolf wheel 14 always rotates in the same direction, whatever the direction of rotation of the oscillating mass 2.
  • the wolf wheel 14 is driven by the driving and retaining piece 8, the pawls 19, by their spouts 20a in contact with the steep side of respective teeth of the star 18, move the star 18 and the pinion 17 in solidarity with the wolf wheel 14.
  • the pinion 17 then drives the ratchet 25 via the intermediate mobile 24, which raises the motor spring.
  • the star assembly 18 - ratchets 19 thus constitutes a disengaging device which, in normal use of the watch, is in an engaged state and disengages when the winding stem 30 is actuated.
  • This disengaging device protects the wolf wheel 14 and the pawls 12a, 12b from the risk of significant wear. Indeed, if the wolf wheel 14 was driven by the ratchet 25 during manual winding, as is the case in traditional Pellaton type mechanisms, it would turn quickly given the gear ratios.
  • the present invention thus makes it possible to remedy the high sensitivity to wear of the teeth of the wolf wheel 14 and ratchets 12a, 12b.
  • the disengagement device 18-19 is integrated with the mobile 15 wolf wheel 14 and no additional mobile is therefore necessary to fulfill the disengagement function.
  • the wolf wheel 14 necessarily has a certain height, because of the use of the flanges 22, 23 or the necessary height of the toothing of the wheel 14 to take account of the vertical lurching pawls 12a, 12b, the clutch 18-19 can be placed in the height of said wheel 14 (that is to say that at least a portion of the disengaging device 18-19 can be at the same height than the teeth of the wolf-tooth wheel 14) and so do not increase the clutter of the mechanism.
  • the disengaging device can of course have another shape than that described.
