Entsprechend ist die axiale Baulänge eines permanent erregten Generators (PEM) wesentlich geringer als die eines bisher für derartige Portalhubwagen eingesetzten Synchron- oder Asynchronmotors, wobei auch hier der Reduzierungsfaktor im Bereich von 50 % oder darüber liegen kann.This object is achieved in that the generator of the drive unit of the straddle carrier is designed as a permanently excited generator.
