Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a subdividing projectile for hunting purposes according to the preamble of claim 1.
Modern rifle bullets must meet various hunting requirements. The most important of these requirements is the accuracy of the target. h., the precision shot from various hunting weapons. Furthermore, the game is to be killed quickly and great agony. This requires a latitude and depth effect of the projectile in the game body. To meet this requirement, the projectile is to disassemble in the game and at the same time retain a defined residual mass. This is achieved by the separation into two cores. Another requirement for modern rifle bullets is a Schnitthaar- and welding on the Anschuss, in order to facilitate a possible Nachsuche without any waste. Since the bullet often closes very quickly due to the elasticity of the skin, the skin and the underlying fat layer, a scrap with sweat formation is desirable even at the most unfavorable shooting angle.
These requirements come very close to the gun bullets attributed to the assignee and known worldwide under the trade names TUG (Torpedo Universal Bullet) and TIG (Torpedo Ideal Bullet). These projectiles have their origin in a for the company founder Wilhelm Brenneke on December 11, 1920 under the number 370 908 patented by the Reich Patent Office hunting floor.
These projectiles are subdivision projectiles with a shell of nickel-plated mild steel, which receives form-fitting two lead cores, a softer nose cone and a harder tail core. These bullets got their name because of their torpedo tail shaped soil. This floor has interior ballistic benefits. The dual core construction of the above mentioned Brenneke rifle projectiles ensures optimal energy release in the target with safe width and depth effect. This is done by the rapid deformation and disassembly of the front, soft lead core, while the rear, hard lead core in most cases leads to the desired rejects.
Characteristic for the TIG and TUG projectiles is a trained in the area of the bullet head Scharfrand, which provides cut hair and sweat in most cases at the junction.
Object of the present invention is to provide a further generic partial separation projectile with a dual core structure.
This object is achieved with a Teilzerlegungsgeschoss having the features of claim 1.
Advantageous embodiments of the invention will become apparent from the dependent claims.
According to the invention, it is provided that the bow core and tail core consist of materials of equal hardness whose hardness values are in the Brinell hardness range (HBW) lie. Thus, the present invention breaks down with a view taken and practiced over many decades, which states that the nose core of subdivision projectiles must be softer than the tail core. Surprisingly, it has been shown that even with bow and stern cores of the same hardness, the desired Innenbalistik the projectile, namely a mushrooming and disassembly of the bow core and in most cases a committee is achieved.
This solution makes it possible in an advantageous embodiment of the invention to use the same materials for the bow core and the tail core, which brings significant manufacturing advantages in the manufacture of the projectile with it.
In an advantageous embodiment of the present invention, the bow core and the tail core are made of tin.
When using materials for the tail core and the nose core with greater hardness values up to 200 HBW, it may be advantageous to provide mushroom support in the form of hollow tips, the bow core in the longitudinal direction passing through through holes or blind holes with spreaders used to support the mushrooming of the bow core.
