So können beispielsweise Sensoren für Gasdruck oder für die Ermittlung der Spülgaskonzentration vorgesehen sein, welche beim Erreichen der vorgegebenen Soll-Werte die Beendigung des Spülvorganges auslösen.

Claims (6)

  1. Device for applying a purge gas or flushing gas to containers (2) which are to be filled with comestibles, particularly beverage containers, comprising a socket (4) which attaches to the upper container edge (2a) by means of a ring seal (3), wherein the socket (4) is guided such as to be raisable and lowerable on a cylinder (7), and a purge gas tube (9) is guided such as to be raisable and lowerable in a cylinder (7), and the socket (4) is equipped with a gas outlet (10), and the purge gas tube (9) is configured in such a way that it can be introduced as far as proximity to the floor of the container (2) which is to be filled.
  2. Device according to claim 1, characterised in that the centric cylinder (7) guiding the purge gas tube (9) surrounded by the socket (4) carrying the ring seal (3), is sealed against this and is provided with an end region (7a) which tapers in diameter, wherein the gas outlet (10) projects from the shoulder which is formed in this way.
  3. Device according to claim 2, characterised in that the end region (7a), tapering in diameter, of the centric cylinder (7) comprises an outer diameter which, for the formation of a gas outlet gap, is smaller than the inner diameter of the end region of the socket (4), carrying the ring seal (3).
  4. Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that a vacuum pump (11) is allocated to the gas outlet (10).
  5. Method for applying a purge gas or flushing gas into containers which are to be filled with comestibles, particularly beverage containers, wherein a socket (4), provided with a ring seal (3), which is guided such as to be raisable and lowerable in a cylinder (7), is lowered onto the upper edge of a container which is to be purged or flushed, and is positioned against this in a sealed manner, following which a purge gas tube (9) guided such as to be raisable and lowerable in the cylinder (7) is lowered into the container so far that the outlet opening of the purge gas tube (9) is located in the region of the container floor, leaving free a space for the outlet of the gas, following which the purge gas tube (9) and a gas outlet line (10) is opened for sufficiently long for the container to be completely filled with purge gas.
  6. Method according to claim 5, characterised in that, by means of a vacuum pump (11) synchronized with the purge gas tube (9), the purge gas/air mixture is aspirated out during the purge gas process.
