Abstract

A rack insert for a dishwasher including a wavy bar with receptacles configured to receive a neck section of a bottle and a strut disposed at a distance from the wavy bar. The strut has tines extending upright therefrom and configured to support the bottle or another item to be washed. The rack insert is configured to be hung onto a bottom of a dishwasher rack such that the bottle has a slanted position relative to the strut and the tines.

Description

The present invention relates to a basket insert for a dishwasher with a corrugated bracket to which a receptacle each neck portion of a bottle, preferably a baby bottle, can be applied.

From the EP 1 356 761 A2 a crockery basket is known in which a glass holder is provided with a wave-shaped profile. The wave-shaped profile can be used in particular for receiving long glasses, which can be inserted into the individual receptacles of the glass holder. A support on the opposite side is not provided.

From the US 2005/0242046 an auxiliary grid for storing elongate objects for a dishwasher is known which can be inserted into a bracket and fixed there. The auxiliary grid has a flat net-like structure on which short rods project upwards in several rows in order to prevent slippage of the articles deposited there during the flushing process. For fixing bottles, the auxiliary grid is unsuitable.

The DE 10 2004 008 118 A1 discloses a dish rack for a dishwasher in which an insert is provided, into which bottles can be inserted. For this purpose, annular receptacles are provided in the bottom region of the insert, which are equipped with holding elements for fixing a bottleneck. However, the respective holding elements are tuned to a specific diameter of a bottle neck.

EP 1 199 025 A1 discloses a basket insert gem. the preamble of claim 1.

It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a basket insert for a dishwasher, which is simple and is suitable for storing bottles in the dish rack.

This object is achieved with a basket insert for a dishwasher with the features of claim 1.

According to the invention, a strut is spaced from the corrugated bracket, are arranged on the upwardly projecting spikes for lateral support of the bottle or other piece of crockery. As a result, bottles of different sizes can be placed between the strut and the corrugated bracket, since the lateral support by the spikes and the strut allows a certain tolerance compensation. In addition, the basket insert can be flexibly used for other items than bottles, where only a lateral support is desired.

For easy installation of the basket insert this can be suspended on a bottom insert of the dish rack. As a result, existing baskets can also be easily retrofitted with the basket insert. If the corrugated bracket of the basket insert can be hung on the bottom of a dish rack, that the bracket can serve as a storage surface for the recordings covering dishes, then the corrugated bracket can serve both for lateral support of bottles and as a storage area, so that the filling of the dish rack easy remains. The basket insert is attached to a bottom of a dish rack so that a bottle has a certain inclination to the strut and the spikes.

According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the corrugated bracket forms receptacles which engage around a neck portion of a bottle by less than half. As a result, the receptacle can serve as an abutment element, but without being limited specifically to a diameter of the bottle neck.

For a quick installation of the basket insert this can show at least one laterally open hook and a downwardly open hook. Then the basket insert can be easily hung on existing struts of the dish rack. For a stable embodiment of the basket insert, the corrugated bracket and the strut can be connected to the spikes via a plurality of transverse struts. At this cross struts can then be formed at opposite ends in each case a hook for hanging.

A crockery basket 1 comprises a base 2, on which crockery pieces can be placed, wherein the bottom 2 is formed lattice-shaped and is surrounded by a circumferential side wall 3. At the bottom 2 of the crockery basket 1, a basket insert is arranged, which comprises a corrugated bracket 4, whose individual waves recordings 5 form. At these recordings 5, a neck of a bottle 6 can be created.

On the opposite side to the corrugated bracket 4, the bottle 6 is supported on a strut 7 with upwardly projecting spikes 8, wherein the bottle 6 may have a certain inclination to the strut 7 and the spikes 8.

The corrugated bracket 4 and the strut 7 are connected to each other via cross braces 9, the end a hook 10 and a hook 11 have. The hook 10 is curved so that it is open at the side while the hook 11 is open at the bottom. About the hook 10 and 11 of the basket insert can be hung on the grid-shaped bottom 2 of the dish rack 1, wherein first the hooks 10 are mounted on the side of the wavy bracket 4 on a longitudinal strut of the bottom 2 and then the basket insert is pivoted so that Hook 11 from the top to engage another longitudinal strut.

In FIG. 2 the dish rack 1 is shown with a different filling, which is not made of bottles 6 but by a cup 16. The cup 16 has a larger circumference than the bottlenecks of the bottles 6, so that the corrugated bracket 4 serves as a storage area and on the opposite side of the strut 7 with the spikes 8 for lateral support of the cup 16 is used. The cups 16 can then be stably received in the dish rack 1.

In FIG. 3 the basket insert is shown in detail. The bottle 6 comprises a tapered bottle neck 60, and is designed, for example, as a baby bottle. The bottle neck 60 can be inserted between the corrugated bracket 4 and the strut 7 and is thus held stable during the flushing process. Adjacent thereto, the cup 16 is arranged, which is placed on the corrugated bracket 4 and is supported on the spikes 8 on the strut 7. Also, the cup 16 can thus be parked stably on the basket insert.

In the illustrated embodiment, the distance between the corrugated bracket 4 and the strut 7 is the same size, so that the receptacles 5 are provided for certain sizes of bottlenecks. It is also possible to vary the distance between the corrugated bracket 4 and the strut 7 to accommodate different sized bottles on the basket insert can.

In the embodiment shown, each receptacle 5 are each assigned two spikes 8 on the strut 7, so that a bottle 6 can be ajar against the two spikes 8 and held securely. The spikes 8 have a length of more than 4 cm, preferably more than 6 cm, so that longer bottles 6 can be supported.

1. Rack insert for dishwashers comprising a wave-shaped retaining bar (4), against which, in each recess (5), a neck portion (60) of a bottle (6), preferably a baby's bottle, can be placed, a strut (7), on which are arranged upwardly projecting spikes (8) for laterally supporting the bottle (6) or another piece of crockery (16), being arranged at a distance from the wave-shaped retaining bar (4), characterised in that the rack insert can be fitted on a base (2) of a dish rack (1) in such a way that the bottle (6) is tilted slightly relative to the strut (7) and the spikes (8).
2. Rack insert according to claim 1, characterised in that the wave-shaped retaining bar (4) forms recesses (5), each of which embraces less than half of a neck portion (60) of a bottle (6).

Rack insert according to either claim 1 or claim 2, characterised in that the wave-shaped retaining bar (4) of the rack insert can be fitted on the base (2) of a dish rack (1) in such a way that the retaining bar (4) can be used as a rest surface for the pieces (6) of crockery which cover the recesses (6).
4. Rack insert according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that at least one hook (10) which opens to the side and at least one hook (11) which opens downwards are provided for fitting the rack insert.
5. Rack insert according to any one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the wave-shaped retaining bar (4) and the strut (7) comprising the spikes (8) are connected to one another by transverse struts (9).
6. Rack insert according to any one of claims 1 to 5, characterised in that hooks (10, 11) are formed on opposite ends of the transverse struts (9) for fitting purposes.
7. Rack insert according to any one of claims 1 to 6, characterised in that two spikes (8) on the strut (7) are associated with each recess (5).
8. Rack insert according to any one of claims 1 to 7, characterised in that the spikes (8) are longer than 4 cm, preferably longer than 6 cm.
