Definitions

  • the invention relates to a device for closing and tightening a sports shoe, this device comprising two connecting members adapted to cooperate together, particularly suitable for rigid shoes such as a ski boot. It also covers each of these liaison bodies as such. Finally, it relates to a sports shoe equipped with such a closure and clamping device.
  • the figure 1 illustrates a classic ski boot 1 of the prior art, composed of a collar 2 articulated on a shell 3. These two rigid parts 2, 3 are open at the anterior portion of the shoe, forming a notch which facilitates the donning and heaving despite the rigidity of the shoe.
  • the latter is further provided with four closing and clamping devices 4, two on the collar 2 and two on the shell 3, of the type illustrated in FIG. figure 2 .
  • Each closing and clamping device 4 consists of two complementary connecting members.
  • the first member comprises a base 5 adapted for attachment to the shoe, carrying a clamping lever 6 rotatably mounted on the base 5 about an axis 7, adapted to drive a tie rod 8 mounted on the lever 6 around a further axis 9, and connected to an end portion 10 of the connecting member, the end of which comprises a transverse link zipper 11.
  • the second member comprises a base 15 for attachment to a shoe, a rack 16 comprising different teeth 17 adapted to cooperate with the connecting transverse zipper 11 and representing different degrees of clamping.
  • Each connecting member of this connecting device 4 is fixed on the shoe on either side of the notch, the base 5 of the first member being fixed on a rigid side portion 19 of the shoe, facing with the base 15 of the second connecting member fixed on a flap 20 more flexible adapted to cover the notch of the shoe.
  • These two connecting members are sometimes rotatable about their point of attachment to the surface of the shoe.
  • the two complementary connecting members are placed on the same curve 18 on the surface of the shoe which represents the shortest possible path of these connecting members between the two bases 5, 15. We will misuse the term of alignment on the curve 18 to qualify this configuration of closure of the two connecting members.
  • This alignment curve 18 of the connecting members is substantially perpendicular to the notch to be closed.
  • the two connecting members are connected, the pull tab 11 being in relation to a tooth 17 chosen as a function of the desired tightening, the clamping being effected by the operation of the lever 6.
  • the connecting pull 11 and the teeth 17 have an orientation respectively a, b perpendicular to the curve 18, so that the force exerted by the pull tab 11 on a tooth 17 causes the flap 20 to be brought closer in a direction substantially perpendicular to the notch, to cause the closure shoe, then its tightening, always in the same direction parallel to the curve 18.
  • the curves 18 illustrated further represent an axis of symmetry of the closing and clamping devices. However, this is not mandatory, devices may be asymmetrical.
  • an object of the present invention is to provide another closure and clamping device for sports shoe that improves the tightening and holding of the foot in the shoe while ensuring the closure of the shoe.
  • the closure and tightening of the boot are made by connecting members exerting an additional force component, out of alignment with at least one of the connecting members, this non-aligned component reinforcing a function of maintaining the foot in the shoe.
  • the figure 3 illustrates a partial view of a ski boot comprising closing and clamping devices according to an embodiment of the invention.
  • Each device is based on two connecting members mounted respectively on a first lateral portion 19 of the boot and on a second lateral portion of the boot, consisting for example of a flexible flap 20, disposed beyond its anterior notch.
  • the first connecting member comprises a base 25, carrying a clamping lever 26 rotatably mounted on the base 25 and adapted to drive a tie rod 28 mounted on the lever 26, and connected to an end portion 30 of the connecting member whose end comprises a link zipper 31.
  • the second connecting member comprises a base 35 fixed on the surface of a flap 20 by a fastening means 38 of the rivet type, a rack 36 comprising different teeth 37 adapted to cooperate with the transverse connection zipper 31 and representing different degrees of clamping.
  • the connecting members are fixed on the boot by a fastening means 38 which prevents their rotation relative to the boot so as to maximize the orientation movement of the flap 20 by the forces exerted by the connecting members.
  • This attachment may consist of at least two rivets or a rivet associated with a complementary system for blocking the rotation.
  • the shoe comprises two devices for closing and clamping at its collar 2 and at least one at its shell 3, partially illustrated.
  • at least one of the connecting members could be rotatable about the point of attachment 38 to facilitate its positioning in alignment with the first connecting member to close the shoe.
  • each connecting member is aligned in a predefined closing direction.
  • their respective closing directions are aligned in this embodiment. Indeed, they are positioned in an alignment represented by the curve 18 on the surface of the shoe, which represents the shortest distance for connecting the two connecting members from their respective bases 25, 35.
  • the tie rod 28, its point of connection with the end portion 30 and the center of connection of the rack 36 with its base 35 are in particular then aligned on the curve 18.
  • the two parallel branches 32 of the end portion 30 fork-shaped and both sides side 39 parallel of the rack 36 are positioned on a curve parallel to the alignment curve 18.
  • the connecting tab 31 of the first connecting member is oriented in a direction c not perpendicular to the two parallel branches 32 of the end portion 30 in the form of a fork.
  • the teeth 37 of the rack 36 likewise have an orientation d not perpendicular to the two parallel side faces 39 of the rack.
  • These two directions c and d are the same in the closure configuration of the shoe, so that the straight pull tab 31 comes in perfect cooperation with the teeth 37 of the rack. Thanks to this geometry of the connecting elements 31, 37 of the connecting members, the pull tab 31 exerts a force F on the selected tooth 37 perpendicular to the directions c, d and therefore not parallel to the tangent to the curve 38.
  • the orientation of the connecting elements 31, 37 is chosen so that this force F has a component downwardly at the collar and backward at the shell.
  • This force is naturally transmitted to the structure of the shoe and the foot of the user.
  • This component of force not aligned with the rest of the connecting members thus makes it possible to add an additional effect of maintaining the foot in the shoe.
  • the shoe exerts a force that pushes the lower leg to the ground, thus improving the maintenance of the heel at the bottom of the shoe and avoiding its lifting.
  • the shoe exerts a force that pushes the instep backwards, thereby improving the maintenance of the heel at the bottom of the shoe by avoiding its advance.
  • the angle of the teeth 37 and the pull tab 31 is chosen according to the desired distribution of the clamping force between its component traditional closure of the notch and its new component of improving the maintenance of the foot.
  • different geometries can be chosen without departing from the scope of the invention. It is noted that an angle of 5 to 10 degrees between the directions c and d of these elements and the alignment direction 18 of the connecting members represents an advantageous solution.
  • FIG 4 illustrates a possible variant of the connecting members, which differs essentially in the shape of the connecting elements 31 ', 37'.
  • the first connecting member thus comprises a connecting element in the form of a curved zipper 31 'disposed between two branches 32' of more complex shape and not completely parallel.
  • the second connecting member has a rack whose connecting elements are mushroom-shaped pins 37 '.
  • the cooperation between the connecting elements 31 'and 37' is in a curve whose tangent c 'is not perpendicular to the alignment curve 18.
  • these elements exert a force F perpendicular to this tangent c', not aligned with the alignment curve 18 of the connecting members, to achieve the same technical effect as in the embodiment shown above.
  • a first solution is for example possible on the basis of a first connecting member with zipper 31, having a geometry similar to that illustrated on the drawing. figure 3 , associated with a second usual liaison body, such as the rack illustrated on the figure 2 .
  • a first connecting member with zipper 31 having a geometry similar to that illustrated on the drawing. figure 3 , associated with a second usual liaison body, such as the rack illustrated on the figure 2 .
  • Such an embodiment is implemented on a shoe by positioning the first link member as shown in FIG. figure 3 and the second connecting member on the flap 20, these two connecting members being connected to the shoe by at least two rivets to prevent their rotation relative to the surface of the shoe.
  • the zipper exerts a force on the tooth of the corresponding rack so that the latter takes an orientation parallel to the pull tab, thereby causing a movement combining a pull and a rotation of the flap 20 on which the rack is fixed.
  • the two connecting members thus achieve a closure configuration in which they each occupy their respective closing direction, these directions being no longer aligned in this embodiment but having an angle corresponding to the angle of inclination of the zipper relative to the direction of the first link member.
  • the two connecting members always position themselves according to the shortest path on the shoe to present this angle. As this angle is small, for example 5 degrees, the connecting members remain almost aligned.
  • the pull tab 31 exerts a force inducing a stronger rotation downwardly of the flap 20, helping to better maintain the foot at the bottom of the the shoe.
  • a second solution could consist in associating a first connecting member with a usual pull tab like that illustrated in the figure with a second rack-type member as illustrated on the figure 3 .
  • the technical effect will be equivalent to that obtained previously.
  • the desired result can be obtained by providing that at least one of the connecting members has a connecting element of geometry such that its tangent to a complementary connecting element is not perpendicular to the closing direction of the connecting member, defined in its closure configuration and clamping on the surface of a shoe.
  • This solution provides an improvement regardless of the direction of closure of the connecting members on the surface of the shoe.
  • closure and clamping device solution of the invention has been illustrated in the context of a ski boot but could be implemented on any sports shoe, relatively rigid and requiring significant tightening.
