The present invention relates to a grip band and an exchange grip band for a ball game racket, in particular tennis, squash, racquetball, badminton or Paddletennisschläger. According to a further aspect of the present invention, this relates to a method for producing such grip bands. Furthermore, the invention relates to a handle for such ball game rackets, in combination with the grip band according to the invention, a ball game racket with such a handle and a method for producing such a handle or racket.
Ball game rackets of the type mentioned above have a frame with a head portion for receiving a string and a handle portion. Such clubs may further comprise a heart region or a fork arranged between the head region and the grip section.
The handle or grip portion of a ball game racket is of particular importance in that it represents the link between the racket and the player. The handle or grip portion serves, in particular, to enable the player to securely grasp and guide the racket in different game situations. The handle or grip section thus serves to transfer power from the player to the racket. Conversely, the forces or shocks or vibrations occurring during the game on the racket, for example in ball contact, transmitted via the handle or grip portion to the player.
Here, the design of the handle or grip area affects both the grip and manageability, the so-called. Handling, the racket in different play or grip positions and the resulting stress of the handle directly or indirectly in contact with the player's palms and the Introduction of the game forces or shocks or vibrations in the hand or the arm of the player and thus the gripping and gaming comfort of the player.
Handles are typically wrapped around the handle of a ball game racket to allow a player to best handle the racket. There are various criteria, such as Tack, moisture wicking and cushioning effect are important.

These known grips are in terms of their grip, their suitability for gripping different grip positions in different game situations, with respect to the force transfer and in particular with respect to the forces transferred to the player, Shocks or vibrations, their cultivation effort, their relatively complex and therefore expensive production and / or their high weight unsatisfactory.
It is an object of the present invention to provide an improved grip band and an improved replacement grip band which overcomes the disadvantages of the prior art. In particular, it is an object of the present invention to provide an improved grip band and replacement grip band, which in particular over known grip bands have increased adhesion and improved grip and allow a more comfortable grip of the racquet by the player. Alternatively or additionally, it is an object of the invention to provide such an improved grip band, which is efficient and inexpensive to produce.
Furthermore, it is an object of the present invention to provide a handle for ball game rackets in combination with an improved grip band, wherein the advantages of the design of the handle as well as the advantages of the design of the grip band are retained or should complement each other synergistically.
This object (s) is / are solved with the features of the independent claims. The dependent claims relate to preferred embodiments of the present invention.
The invention is based on the basic idea of forming the grip band with a conical or trapezoidal basic shape in the longitudinal direction. Alternatively or additionally, a grip band according to the invention has a length and a width, wherein the width varies over a substantial part of the length, preferably over at least about 50%, particularly preferably at least about 75% of its length.
In this case, the grip band according to the invention preferably has at least one maximum width and at least one minimum width. A maximum width of the handleband is preferably located near the ends of the handleband, about half the length of the handleband and / or about one third of the length of the handleband.
Preferably, the grip band has a first end and a second end and a length, wherein the grip band has a first width near its first end and a second width near its second end. Close in this regard means that the corresponding width is no more than about 10-20% of the total length of the handle belt spaced longitudinally from the corresponding end. In this case, the first width is preferably smaller than the second width. The width extension between the first end and the second end of the handle belt from the first width to the second width is preferably continuous, but may also be discontinuous. According to preferred embodiments of the invention, the width change is linear, progressive and / or degressive. Preferably, the width extension is linear. In a preferred embodiment of the grip band, this extends along a longitudinal axis, wherein the ends of the grip band are preferably aligned approximately perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. In a further embodiment of the grip band, at least one of these end faces is inclined at least partially at an angle to the longitudinal axis of the grip band. According to the invention, the long sides of the grip band are inclined relative to one another substantially at an angle β or enclose an angle β which is in the range from about 0.1 ° to about 3 °, preferably in the range from about 0.25 ° to about 2 ° is more preferably, about 0.5 ° to 1.5 ° or about 0.8 ° to about 1.2 °.
According to a preferred embodiment, the length of the grip band is in the range of between 80 cm and about 150 cm, preferably between about 90 cm and about 130 cm, and is particularly preferably about 110 cm.
The first width of the grip band is preferably in the range between about 5 mm and about 25 mm, preferably between about 10 mm and about 20 mm, and more preferably it is about 15 mm.
The second width of the grip band is preferably in the range between about 20 mm and about 45 mm, preferably between about 28 mm and about 38 mm, and more preferably is about 33 mm to 36 mm.
According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the grip band is formed symmetrically about its longitudinal axis.
Furthermore, the inclination of the sides of the grip band, so enclosed by the two side edges of the grip band angle is chosen such that the results in overlapping winding on a handle course of the longitudinal axis of the grip band and thus the resulting grip contour of the hand of the player or adapted to the course of the fingers of the player's hand. Preferably, the inclination is designed so that when one on a handle, e.g. On the handle according to the invention wound grip band varies the orientation of its longitudinal axis in a plan view of the wound handle along the length of the handle. In particular, the structures resulting from the overlapping winding of the grip strip do not run parallel to one another, but are inclined relative to one another, wherein the inclination increases continuously as the winding progresses. In this way, depending on the grip band design or cross-sectional geometry contours, which are arranged like a fan.
The imaginary extension of the contour lines in a plane seems to converge in one point. This results in a structure that approximates the anatomical design of the human hand. In particular, the fingers of the human hand are not parallel to each other but run towards each other from the finger root to the fingertips. Thus, the given by the overlapping wrapping of the grip tape according to the invention structure, in particular the structure of the formed by the cross-sectional profile of the grip band contours, optimally fits to the anatomy of the human hand. This facilitates, in particular, a secure and more comfortable gripping of the club grip according to the invention, in particular the formation of blisters and skin irritations being reduced. In addition, thereby the ability of the player to play, especially in long playing time, after which usually show strong signs of fatigue, positively influenced and improves the game play.
The handle design according to the invention with a grip band according to
Such a handle has a generally elongated shape and extends along a longitudinal axis which may be on the longitudinal axis of the racquet. The term cross-section is used below to denote the perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the handle forming cross-section.
The cross section in the first section is preferably a constant, preferably approximately rectangular, more preferably approximately octagonal cross section. Starting from the first cross section in the first section, the cross section in the second section expands uniformly, preferably linearly. According to preferred embodiments, the cross-sectional widening is linear and / or radial, or progressive and / or degressive.
The second portion of the handle according to the invention is preferably facing the player or arranged at the end of the handle facing the player, whereas the first portion is arranged in the region of the handle facing the ball game racket or racket head.
The enlargement of the cross-section is preferably uniform, so that each cross-sectional area along the second section represents an enlargement of the first cross-sectional area of the first section. In this case, the second cross-sectional area preferably has a cross-sectional area which is increased by about 2% to about 20%, preferably about 5% to about 10%, compared to the first cross-sectional area.
Erfindungsgemäß liegen die Verhältnisse der Länge des Abschnitts A zur Länge des Abschnitts B im Bereich von etwa 1:3 bis 3:1, bevorzugt etwa 1:2 bis 2:1, stärker bevorzugt etwa 1:1,5 bis 1,5:1 und 1:1,2 bis 1,2:1, und am stärksten bevorzugt etwa 1:1.Preferably, the outer surface of the handle in the second portion opposite the outer surface of the handle in the first portion is at least partially about 0.25 ° to about 5 °, preferably about 0.3 ° to about 3.5 °, more preferably about 0, 4 ° inclined to about 2 °. According to embodiments of the invention, the cross-sectional enlargement is linear, progressive and / or degressive. Particularly preferably, the two sections, each measured approximately centrally with respect to their length, differ by about 0.5-2 grip strengths, preferably by about 1 grip strength. Successive grip strengths usually differ with respect to their Circumference of about 3.14 mm. With respect to their diameter, successive grip strengths usually differ by about 1 mm. According to the invention, the ratios of the length of section A to the length of section B are in the range of about 1: 3 to 3: 1, preferably about 1: 2 to 2: 1, more preferably about 1: 1.5 to 1.5: 1 and 1: 1.2 to 1.2: 1, and most preferably about 1: 1.
The cross-sectional profile of the handle according to the invention is formed according to a preferred embodiment substantially octagonal. According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the handle is formed by the frame of a ball game racket, preferably integrally. According to a further embodiment of the invention, the handle is designed as a grip for attachment to a ball game racket.
Vorzugsweise betrifft die vorliegende Erfindung einen Griff für Tennis-, Squash-, Racquetball, Badminton- oder Paddletennisschläger.Preferably, the present invention relates to a handle for tennis, squash, racquetball, badminton or paddle tennis rackets.
Furthermore, the present invention relates to a ball game racket, preferably a tennis, squash, racquetball, badminton or Paddletennisschläger with such a handle.
The handle according to the invention proves to be advantageous in that it allows a better handling of the racket by the player. In particular, a safe, less powerful and more comfortable holding a ball game racket is made possible by the inventive design of the rear handle portion. Furthermore, the inventive design of a handle for a ball game racket allows improved force application of forces or shocks on the hand and in particular the carpal in the body of the player.
Furthermore, due to the wedge-shaped design of the rear grip portion when grasping the grip by a player, a force component formed parallel to the longitudinal axis of the grip is provided which is directed against the grip surface in the wedge-shaped region, thus allowing a secure and easy grip of the grip. Also, the safe Attitude of a ball game racket by exploiting the advantages of a positive grip combined with frictional engagement with respect to the known handles achieved.
The advantages in terms of the handling of the racket or handle according to the invention prove to be particularly advantageous when changing the grip positions, for example, for the forehand and backhand game in tennis. The corresponding effects increase when using two-handed grip techniques, such as a two-handed backhand tennis, or even when switching between one-handed and ambidextrous grip technique, such as when changing a one-handed forehand backhand or the like. In this case, it is possible in particular to overcome the known disadvantages of conical or cylindrical handles. In particular, a handle according to the invention over its entire length makes it possible to provide improved handleability and optimum grip strength.
The connection of the handle with the grip band according to the invention is particularly advantageous since the combination of handle and grip band show synergistic effects with regard to grip safety and grip comfort. This affects the playability of the player, especially after a long playing time, after which usually show strong signs of fatigue, positive and improves the game behavior.

Preferably, the inclination of the

According to a manufacturing method of a grip tape according to the invention, a raw material web is produced which possibly already has the desired cross-sectional contours. Preferably, the raw material webs can be divided by a cut or a separation process into two grip bands according to the invention. A grip tape is cut out of the raw material web so that the interface formed on the raw material web forms one side of a next grip tape. Preferably, the cutting pattern is designed so that a maximum number of grip bands can be separated out of a raw material web with minimal waste. For example. For example, a preferred raw material web has an approximately rectangular basic shape, whereby exactly two inventive grip bands can be produced by a cutting or separating process along a cutting line inclined to the sides of the basic shape. In this way, a simple and resource-saving production can be achieved. The desired cross-sectional contours and / or flattened side regions can be produced in a step preceding or following the separation process.
With the grip band according to the invention a secure gripping at low load of the player is possible. Thus, the racket can be guided optimally, the resources of the player are spared and injuries such as blisters or tennis elbow avoided. The handle is preferably integrally or integrally formed with the racket. According to a further embodiment of the invention, the handle is designed as a one-piece or multi-part handle shell for attachment to a ball game racket. In this case, the handle preferably has a fastening device (not shown) for attachment to the ball game racket. Preferably, the handle is hollow, wherein the fastening means is formed by a substantially extending through the handle cavity.
The designed as a handle shell handle preferably has polyurethane, or is made of polyurethane.
The inventive design of the handle allows both the formation of a frictional connection and the formation of a positive connection between the hand of the player and the handle, whereby a particularly safe, solid and power-saving grip (gripping) of the racket or the handle is possible.
The provision of a section A with constant cross-section also allows an individually optimized gripping the handle along the section B or in the transition region from section A to section B. Also allows the inventive design of sections A and B, a comfortable and safe ambidextrous guiding a racket means a handle according to the invention by a safe and comfortable gripping by the first hand or play hand substantially in the area B of the handle, as described above, the second hand can grip the handle in the section A with a substantially constant cross-section without, for example Disadvantages due to a too small handle diameter, as would occur, for example, in a continuous conical handle occur.
