Description
The invention relates to an oil collecting device for an internal combustion engine, in particular for a boxer engine according to the preamble of
In today 's water - cooled 6 - cylinder boxer engines of the model 911 Carrera (Dr. Ing. Hc F. Porsche AG), an oil sump box attached to the sump cover is provided in the oil guide housing or in the oil sump, in which the oil sump is designed to supply the engine with lubricating oil is. The returned by the consumers in the oil pan lubricating oil is first returned outside of the Ölabsaugraum forming oil pan box before it passes through the monitored in Ölschottkasten by flaps openings in the actual Ölabsaugraum.
From GB 2 278 400 A an oil pan for an internal combustion engine is already known, in which an oil suction and an oil collection chamber are formed within the oil pan, which are separated by a flap. Part of the wall area of the oil collecting space slopes downwards towards the flap.
In Öllaufammgehäuse two Ölsammelräume are formed next to an Ölabsaugraum, the separation takes place over a wall portion. In the wall portion, a flap is provided which controls the passage of oil from the oil collecting space in the Ölabsaugraum. Oil return lines for lubricating oil extracted from the engine lead to swirl spots located in the oil collection spaces. The Swirlpots are used to defoam the oil, which can pass over the flaps in the Ölabsaugraum after defoaming.
The object of the invention is to further improve the so-called integrated dry sump in terms of its functionality, in order to achieve a high degree of integration, which at the same time includes a reduction of the preassembly circumference.
This object is achieved with the features of
Swirlpots.According to the invention, a bevel formed out of a wall section is provided in the oil collecting space, which serves as a drainage surface for the lubricating oil returned to the oil collecting space. This sloping side wall of the oil collection chamber supported in an advantageous manner, the oil return from the cylinder heads to the extraction point. The recirculated for example from the cylinder heads lubricating oil meets the sloping drainage surface and from there via the openings provided in the oil bulkhead openings in the Ölabsaugraum over. By forming oblique drainage surfaces, the volume of the oil collection chamber can be reduced while maintaining the functionality of the pressure circulation lubrication. At the same time serve the drainage surfaces by the defined aligned flow of the returning oil to Defoaming the lubricating oil; They thus assume the function of the otherwise commonly used oil / air separator, the so-called. Swirl spots.
Further advantages and advantageous embodiments of the invention will become apparent from the dependent claims and the description.
The provided in the oil collection chamber with the lubricating oil - drainage wall portion is advantageously integrally formed from a oil cap the oil cap downwards final oil cap. In this case, provided for the drainage plastic part can be formed so that the existing dead spaces existing in the oil sump can be substantially reduced. Thus, the Brennkraftmasche can be operated with a smaller SchmiermitteWmlaufmenge, whereby weight and cost advantages can be claimed.
The obliquely extending run-off surfaces, which are provided at the same time for defoaming the lubricating oil, can additionally be provided with ribs, nubs or the like. Molded bodies, so that the lubricating oil is degassed accordingly on the way into the Ölabsaugraum.
The two oil bulkheads delimiting the oil suction chamber and oil return pipes arranged in the oil collecting chamber are combined in one piece as a type of pre - assembly module. The integration of the components belonging to the dry sump is further increased when the Ölabsaugschnorchel arranged in the oil collecting space is combined with the two oil return lines as a common module in one piece.
