Definitions
- the invention relates to a panel, in particular Floor panel, with the characteristics of the generic term of the Claim 1, which mechanically with other panels can be mechanically connected.
- Such panels will be typically for a floor covering, for example Parquet or laminate flooring, or for ceiling and Wall coverings used.
- the panel is preferably used as a floor panel used and preferably made of laminate flooring panels made of a wood material.
- the panels can too for other uses, such as wall or wall Ceiling panels are used.
- the locking surfaces for the horizontal locking come in during the connection by a latching process in Engagement with each other.
- Detent process means that the locking elements for the horizontal locking of the first side edge a first panel with the locking surfaces of horizontal locking of the second side edge of a second panel come into contact.
- the touch becomes at least one during the process of joining Bent element of the connection so that it locks in place, So comes to bending back of the element. Therefore is at each of the compounds to a mechanical resistance overcome, regardless of whether the panels are horizontal be pushed towards each other or whether they pass through a Pivoting movement are engaged with each other.
- the compounds are therefore also Rast- or Called snap connections.
- the present invention is therefore the technical Problem to provide a panel in which the Fitting accuracy of both the vertical latch as well the horizontal connection is improved.
- a first side edge and an opposite second Side edge of the panel according to the invention are as in all rectangular panels intended.
- the invention mainly relates to a Pair of side edges, described below
- profile geometries can work on both pairs of Be arranged side edges.
- the profiles of the first and second side edge are formed complementary and can work together to create the vertical latch and horizontal connection with each other to be brought.
- the first mating surface and the second mating surface form the first side edge the mating surfaces for the vertical Locking.

- HDF High density fibreboard
- OSB Oriented Beach boards
- the panels can also be made Wood in the form of parquet strips or panels or off consist of a plastic. In particular, come here Core layers of polyethylene (PE), insulating mats, polystyrene, Polyurethane hard foam or polystyrene foam in question.
- Figs. 1 to 4 show a first embodiment of the present invention.
- Fig. 1 shows the exact Profile geometry of the interconnected panels
- Fig. Figures 2 and 3 show separately the first and second side edges
- Figs. 4a to 4c show the pivoting movement during the Joining the two side edges.
- Fig. 1 two panels are shown, with are provided with mutually corresponding side edges, which can be mechanically connected to each other.
- the invention mainly relates to a single one Panel in itself, so that in the following description of the a panel with two different side edges of two in Fig. 1 side by side panels is described, the side edges separately in Figs. 2 and FIG. 3 are shown.
- the panel 2 according to FIG. 2, has a first side edge 4 and according to FIG. 3 an opposite second side edge 6 on.
- the first side edge 4 has a first contact surface 8 on, which are arranged at the upper end of the first side edge 4 is.
- a groove 10 is provided, which has an upper lip 12, which limits the groove 10 upwards, and a lower lip 14 which bounds the groove 10 downwards. The distal end of the lower lip 14 projects beyond the distal end of the upper lip 12.
- a first mating surface 16 is at the upper lip 12 arranged and a second mating surface 18 is at the bottom Lippe 14 arranged in the region of the groove bottom 20.
- a second abutment surface 22 is at the lower lip 14 in Area arranged at the distal end.
- the second side edge 6 has a third at the upper end Contact surface 24.
- a spring 26th provided, which has a third mating surface 28 at the top and at the bottom has a fourth mating surface 30.
- a fourth abutment surface 32 is spaced from the distal End arranged on the underside of the spring 26.
- the second fitting surface 18 and the fourth fitting surface 30 have a circular segment-shaped contour in cross-section.
- the center M 1 of the circle lies in the region of the upper sections of the side edges 4 and 6 and the circle has a radius r 1 to the center M 1 .
- the second fitting surface 18 and the fourth fitting surface 30 thus have a part-cylindrical shape.
- the second contact surface 22 and the fourth contact surface 32 at a distance a to the center M 1 , which is greater than the radius r 1 . Furthermore, the distance a to the center M 1 in the direction of the distal end of the lower lip 14 becomes larger. This is illustrated by the distance arrows a 1 , a and a 2 . The next distance to the groove bottom a 1 is shorter than each further distance a, each in turn are all smaller than the outermost distance a 2 . In other words, the distance a from the inside towards the distal end of the lower lip increases steadily toward the outside.
- auxiliary line H is shown in Fig. 1, which indicates a circular segment which begins at the innermost point of the contact surfaces 22 and 32 and has a radius of length a 1 . From the increasing distance between the auxiliary line H and the contact surfaces 22 and 32, the geometry described above becomes clear.
- Fig. 4a Starting from Fig. 4a is a first panel 2 at the bottom in a horizontal position and coming from the right is a further panel 2 in contact with the first panel 2 brought.
- the two upper corners of the side edges 4 and 6 touch and the front portion of the mating surface 30th lies on the mating surface 18.
- the Abutment surfaces 22 and 32 In this position are the Abutment surfaces 22 and 32 spaced from each other, as can be seen in Fig. 4a at the corresponding gap.
- connection mating surfaces and Investment surfaces are thus not during the connection to exposed to heavy loads and two panels can along the side edges without damaging the Locking and connecting elements with each other in Intervention be brought.
- the center M 1 coincides with the upper corner of the side edges 4 and 6. This ensures that during the pivoting movement, the mating surfaces 18 and 30 can slide on each other and not wedged against each other. The pivoting movement is thus not hindered by the mating surfaces 18 and 30.
- Figs. 1 to 4 show the second contact surface 22 and fourth contact surface 32 in Cross section of a curved contour. This will achieved that in the area of the distal end of the lower Lippe 14, the contour of the contact surfaces 22 and 32 as possible steep and a good connection in horizontal Direction allows.
- the second contact surface 22 and the fourth contact surface 32 in cross-section at least partially on a circular segment-shaped contour.
- the center M 2 of the circle is in the direction of the distal end of the lower lip 14, ie in the figures to the right, by a distance b (see Fig. 1) spaced from the first center M 1 and arranged at the top 36 of the panel 2 ,
- the radius r 2 of the contour of the contact surfaces 22 and 32 is greater than the radius r 1 or equal to the radius r 1 .
- the radius r 2 of the contour of the contact surfaces 22 and 32 can be selected smaller than the radius r 1 . As a result, a steeper course of the contact surfaces 22 and 32 in the region of the distal end of the lower lip 14 is achieved.
- Figs. 5 to 8 is a second embodiment a panel 2 according to the invention shown.
- the pivoting movement shown in Figs. 8a to 8c is essentially the same as the first Embodiment. Again, especially the Contact surfaces 22 "and 32" until the end of the pivoting movement in contact with each other.
- FIGS. 5 to 8 Designs, as for the first embodiment have been given with reference to FIGS. 1 to 4.
- FIGS. 9 to 11 show a further embodiment, this is essentially a combination of the features of represents the first two embodiments. Because the Abutment surfaces 22 '' and 32 '' are made of a curved, in particular circular segment-shaped section 22 "'a or 32 "'a and a rectilinear portion 22"' b and 32 "'b composed.
- FIGS. 12a to 12c has identical mating surfaces and contact surfaces like that first embodiment according to FIGS. 1 to 4.
- This piping consists of a elastic material, in particular plastic, for example, from a PVC plastic, and has the following geometry.
- the piping 34 closes with the top 36 of the panel second flush and has a slight projection over the first 8 contact surface on. While in Figs. 12a to 12c pivoting movement of the piping 34 through the increasing contact force by the contact surface 24 is exercised, in the direction of the top 36th pressed together. This creates a sealed Connection of the side edges 4 and 6, wherein also due the elasticity of the welt 34 against the contact surfaces 22 and 32 pressing force is generated.
- the piping 34 is visible to the outside and can for visual effects be used.
- the piping 34 can also be in the region of the second contact surface 24 be attached to during the pivoting movement through the Investment surface 8 to be pressed together.
- Figs. 13a to 13c has identical mating surfaces and contact surfaces like that first embodiment according to FIGS. 1 to 4.
- the elastic element 38 consists of an elastic Material, in particular plastic, for example a PVC plastic, and has the following geometry.
- the elastic element 38 is in the contact surface 22nd let in and has a slight projection over the Contact surface 22 on. While in Figs. 13a to 13c pivotal movement is the elastic Element 38 by the increasing investment force, by the Bearing surface 32 is exercised, in the direction of the contact surface 22 compressed. This arises due to the Elasticity of the element 38 a against the contact surfaces. 8 and 24 pressing power.
- the elastic element 38 can also in the area of the fourth Abutment surface 32 may be arranged so that it during the Pivoting movement by the increasing contact force of the Contact surface 22 is compressed.
- a cavity 40 is formed.
- a glue layer 42 is in the cavity 40 applied at the factory, so that when joining the Side edges 4 and 6 creates an adhesive bond, the in addition to the locking and connecting elements counteracts a divergence of the side edges.
- the glue can be light to apply glue, a fully synthetic glue, a All-purpose adhesive or an anaerobic adhesive act.
- One Anaerobic adhesive offers the advantage of this only cured under exclusion of air and curing only then takes place when the joining surfaces abut each other and the transverse edges are interconnected.
- it may be with the adhesive by a two-component Reactive adhesive, the only then his Adhesive effect achieved when both components together be brought together.
- a two-component Reactive adhesive the only then his Adhesive effect achieved when both components together be brought together.
- FIG. 15 another embodiment of a profile according to the invention is shown.
- the same reference numerals designate the same components as they have already been explained above.
- the difference to the embodiment shown in FIGS. 1 to 4 is the position of the center M 2 .
- the second contact surface 22 and the fourth contact surface 32 in cross-section at least partially on a circular segment-shaped contour.
- the center M 2 of the circle is arranged in the direction of the distal end of the lower lip 14, ie in the figures to the right, by a distance b (see FIG. 15) spaced from the first center M 1 .
- the center is not arranged on the upper side 36 of the panel 2, but in the material of the panel 2. This makes it possible that the radius r 2 of the contour of the contact surfaces 22 and 32 can be selected smaller than the radius r 1 . As a result, a steeper course of the contact surfaces 22 and 32 in the region of the distal end of the lower lip 14 is achieved. Nevertheless, the condition applies that the distance a in the distal direction of the lower lip 14 becomes ever larger.
