Abstract

An outdoor unit of an air conditioner, comprising a casing (10) having a front part (16) with an inlet (26) formed therein, a top part (14) with a top outlet (21) formed therein, and a rear plate (11), and a heat exchanger (30) installed in the inlet (26) and a mixed flow fan (51) installed on the rear side of the heat exchanger (30) and driving a fan rotor (52) by a fan motor (53) both installed in the casing (10) so that the fan motor (53) is positioned on the front side of the fan rotor (52), wherein an outlet flow passage (27) allowing a part of the air blown from the mixed flow fan (51) to flow to the top outlet (21) between the mixed flow fan (51) and the rear plate (11) of the casing (10) is formed on the rear side of the mixed flow fan (51).
